Always leave room for debate.
Never water it down to “they’re probably just racist”
Details, people! Lean in.
It’s time to own our backgrounds, our shortcomings, and to call the accuser what it is… the accuser.
When we stop at the cry over skin colour or belief set, we end the conversation.
To be real we gotta get into the nitty gritty. To understand we all come from some broken backgrounds. We all come from tribal, wild nature.
We cannot carry the end of the debate, ad hominem or any other sort into the future. It prevents the development of information.
It’s time to draw a line between the art and the artist.
“Picture you getting down in a picture tube, like you lit the fuse”
The secrets are uncovered in connection, not in division. No man is the winner. We are the servants of the space that serves us. To it’s will more than our own, but for all of us to come, from our vast, snowballing collective subconscious, not our limited conscious minds that are so certain so often, regardless of being the amazing tool they are.
We intimidate ourselves to act out of fear of what may happen, we avoid taking leaps because we don’t see the ground on the other side. The ground is there to catch you, and it goes beyond the pathways and signposts you know and can find.
Sometimes, information comes from unexpected places, in unexpected ways, sometimes you find beauty in a moment you’d have never expected, sometimes you learn a life lesson from a stranger who looks rough and intimidating but has a golden heart beneath the tough skin and sharp teeth.
It’s not where you expect. It’s everywhere.
